WHO ARE WE?
We are Thornton BSU, a member-led Student Union united by the dedication to improve the lives of African-American Students. We believe in taking action and providing services that promote fairness and equality. Learn more about our efforts to strengthen our coalition’s standing, to inspire change, and to make a positive impact.
WHERE WE FROM?
African-American students are an underrepresented group at Thornton making up less than 1% of the student body. Mrs. Barnes recognized this and resurrected Thornton's chapter of the Black Student Union in 2016 to nurture cultural awareness and respect for one's identity. To this day, we continue that legacy through our actions.
WHAT WE DO!
As the Black Student Union, we strive to serve our community. Our mission is to share and embrace cultural diversity while building friendships and creating a sense of belonging and identity.
